For him the idea of JTBD really ties in well with the idea of the core value proposition in ecosystems because the idea of a core value proposition is what you are trying to create with JTBD. You need to analyse what the target audience really needs and what the missing points in your offer are. By looking at that you go beyond the product focus towards the value focus, therefore being able to solve the needs of the customers much more directly.
